About the Author

Ross Crockford

Ross Crockford started working as a journalist at The Prague Post, an English-language newspaper in Europe. In 1997 he joined Victoria`s Monday Magazine, and in 1998 he became its editor; since 2001 he`s been an active freelance writer for Explore, Western Living, Adbusters, The Globe and Mail and many other publications. Ross has received a National Magazine Award for sports writing, a Western Magazine Award for business writing, and a Jack Webster Award of Distinction for investigative reporting. He also teaches at the University of Victoria`s writing department. Prior to writing Victoria: The Unknown City, he co-wrote Victoria: Secrets of the City as editor of Monday magazine.
