Description

All Tyler Evans wants is to be a hero. For himself and for his family. For his friends too—or even just his dog, Gretzky. But becoming a hero isn’t easy. Heroes don’t get nosebleeds at school, or lose a shoe when they kick a ball. They especially don’t let the class bully steal their lunch… Maybe a magic potion will help?

Told in an endearing, child-centric narrative, this short book explores the development of a child’s sense of self-worth as he carries out small heroic acts while coping with feelings of inferiority resulting from sibling teasing in his single-parent household, and bullying at school. It features quick thinking and innovation on a child’s part, and realistic, down-to-earth connections with pets and wildlife.
