Description

Handelman studies several social workers' interpretation of the facts brought to their attention regarding a case of suspected child abuse, and the effects their perceptions had on their decision-making. Leyton examines the Workmen's Compensation Board and shows how clashes in world view cause conflicting interpretations of rules between officials administering compensation and the miners receiving it.
