About the author

Gerry Crewe was born and educated in St. John 's. He started in the food business at the hotel Newfoundland in 1965 and has been across Canada as well Labrador and the United States for the past 34 and a half years. Gerry has been a chef instructor in the culinary arts and was a founding member of the Newfoundland and Labrador chefs association twenty-five years ago and has been president for the past six years. He is a four time winner of chef of the year in Newfoundland and 2 time winner of the Atlantic chef of the year. He won the teaching award of excellence provincially and he was part of team Canada at the world cooks tour of Africa as well as Ireland. Gerry Crewe is presently retired.
