Born and raised in Winnipeg, Lebredt studied at the University of Manitoba Faculty of Architecture from 1967-1970, before enrolling in the School of Art in 1972. Since moving to Toronto in 1981, Lebredt has been the focus of solo exhibitions at YYZ Artist's Outlet, S.L. Simpson Gallery, and the Art Gallery of Ontario in Toronto, and group exhibitions in Regina, Halifax, London, and New York City. Lebredt has curated exhibitions, contributed to numerous art publications, and worked as an art director for several major motion pictures.
