Cy Hampson

Dr. Hampton is a retired Professor Emeritus from the University of Alberta with a BA degree in English and Philosophy, and a PhD degree in Zoology. He taught at his alma mater for a period of twenty-eight years and has studied and photographed wildlife in many parts of the world over the past fifty years, including East Africa, the Arctic coast, the High Arctic, Mexico, Scotland, the Outer Hebrides and most of Canada. His lectures, radio broadcasts and telecasts run into the hundreds.

He served as Chief Associate Editor and Photographic Editor for, Alberta, A Natural History, which has gone into its eighth printing, breaking every record in Canada for a book in its class. His Into the Woods Beyond, was published by Macmillian, 1971.
