Sea monsters don't have it easy. They live in deep water where it's very cold and lonely. They have to keep moving to stay warm and need huge eyes to see in the murky deep. Their monster appetite demands an enormous hunting area. Finding a steady supply of food is no picnic.
They must stay hidden — people are terrified of sea monsters and might try to capture or even kill them. (But think of what fun it would be to surface and scare the wits out of everyone!)
