Description

The Loonies are five jolly fellows, three centimetres tall, who live in a box under Christopher's bed. Luckily for Christopher, the Loonies are his friends; at least they try to be.

When they learn Christopher wants goldfish for his birthday, they hide a salmon in his bedroom for two days. When they go fishing in the river, they end up as bait. Saving the Loonies from themselves soon becomes Christopher's full-time job.

Loonie Summer is a fantastic tale for anyone who has ever cherished an imaginary friend. Or five imaginary friends.

Editorial Reviews

"A good story and easy for young readers who can stop at each chapter. The writing is lively. The imagination and humour are as much in the text as in the illustrations by Marc Mongeau. Guaranteed to please."

— Lurelu

"Pure pleasure of imagination."

— Le Devoir
