About the authors

Myriam Leighton moved from Switzerland to Banff in 1987 and now lives with her husband Douglas on a rural acreage near Golden, BC, where she loves to garden and experiment in the kitchen while enjoying spectacular views of the West slopes of the Canadian Rockies. She has co-authored three other cookbooks.

Chip Olver moved to Banff in 1977 from Ontario. She loves the mountains and considers it a privilege to live there with her husband and three children. She has been a Town of Banff Councillor since 1994, and is Banff's longest surviving councillor. She is one of the 250 Canadians trained to present the Canadian version of the slide show that was featured in the Oscar winning documentary An Inconvenient Truth.
