Souster/Lampert/Lowther Awards Shortlists 2013
Raymond Souster Award:
The Raymond Souster Award is given for a book of poetry by a League of Canadian Poets member published in the preceding year. The award honours the late Raymond Souster, an early founder of the League of Canadian Poets.
The Gerald Lampert Memorial Award is given in the memory of Gerald Lampert, an arts administrator who organized authors’ tours and took a particular interest in the work of new writers. The award recognizes the best first book of poetry published by a Canadian in the preceding year.
The Pat Lowther Memorial Award is given for a book of poetry by a Canadian woman published in the preceding year, in memory of the late Pat Lowther, whose career was cut short by her untimely death in 1975.

Hackmatack Children's Choice Shortlists 2013
The Hackmatack Children's Choice Book Award is an Atlantic Canadian book award which allows children to choose their favourite Canadian and Atlantic Canadian books. This year, the children will read from a selection of forty books divided in four categories: English Fiction, English Non-fiction, French Fiction and French Non-fiction, chosen for their literary, cultural and enjoyment factors. 2013 CLA Book Awards Shortlists
The Canadian Library Association has announced the shortlists for its three Canadian children's book awards — the CLA Book of the Year Award for Children, the Amelia Frances Howard-Gibbon Illustrator's Award and the CLA Young Adult Book Award. All three awards are generously sponsored by Library Services Centre.
