About the Author

Malachi

Malachi was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica. He was one of the founding members of “Poets in Unity,” an ensemble which brought dub poetry to the forefront of reggae in the late 1970s and carried it forward for a decade. Malachi has performed as an actor and poet, and has become known for his performances on radio and in television and live theatre. He was “Dub Poet of the Year” at the 1995 ReggaeSoca Awards.
