Shelley Fralic
Shelley Fralic has spent more than half of her 59 years at the Vancouver Sun, starting in the human resources department in 1975 before deciding to move upstairs to the newsroom where the action was. She was hired as a junior reporter in 1979 and, after several management roles, became executive editor twenty years later. Today, she pens a thrice-weekly Sun column on social issues, pop culture and modern-day life. She lives in New Westminster, B.C.
