R. Scott Bakker is the son of a tobacco sharecropper, who grew up exploring the bluffs and woodland of Lake Erie’s north shore. He is the author of seven critically acclaimed novels, and has been translated into more than a dozen languages worldwide. He is also the recipient of the Helen B.
