A voracious reader at a young age, she delved into the rich worlds created by talented writers like Madeleine L’Engle, A Wrinkle in Time, which planted the seed of her passion for unique adventures. Encouraged by her creative writing teachers, her love for books blossomed into a full grown talent when she became inspired to create an original series based on her life as hard of hearing teenager.

Life seemed to be going smoothly, I had a boyfriend, an awesome gig working with kids...what could possibly go wrong?
She snapped her head up, eyes blazing at me. It was at that point that I realized that the stakes had gone up. Everything changed. She straightened, ready and eager to go again.
We faced each other, with the score tied, both hungry to win. The tension was thick in the air. She came at me with a low kick, which I blocked, and then she tried to strike once more but aimed too high. It went wild and hit my head, hard on my left cheek, the force whipping my face to the side.
I could’ve sworn I heard a bell ring somewhere, an echoing sound in my ears. White, pinpoint stars swam in my vision.
The room spun around. I staggered for a moment, dazed.
